Social Life

For a small church we have quite a busy social calendar... One of our "Small Groups" We've had... Picnics in the Park Barbecues Dinner Parties Visits to Restaurants. Enjoying a buffet lunch at church Pub Quizzes Ladies Nights Pool Tournaments Ten-Pin Bowling Men's Nights Football matches. Walks in the countryside... ...even a Car Treasure Hunt! From time to time we enjoy Sunday lunch together at Charis House. Several times a year we have Men's Prayer Breakfasts when we enjoy good fellowship and a hearty breakfast, followed by a talk, presentation or bible study and prayer. (Early risers only!) Some events are open to non-members of the church, so they are an great way to meet us on 'neutral territory', so to speak. FOOTBALL "It's a goal!" - Buxton Christians v Bradwell Sports Res. (we won 4 - 0) Football has been an integral part of our youth work for the past few years. It's great for young and old to engage in healthy, life-affirming activities and that's why our 'Rock Solid' programme for young people has always featured "the beautiful game". Over the last few years we have developed this into training sessions in which young men are invited to participate.
